Doxxing removal request template

Copy a short complaint template for asking a platform, publisher or hosting provider to remove exposed personal information.

Before you send

Identify the service that controls the post, list each exact URL and describe the category of information. If a threat accompanies the disclosure, explain its timing and attach a redacted screenshot through a suitable private channel.

Copy and adapt

Subject: Request to review exposed private information

I am the person affected by the publication at [exact URL]. The content discloses my [type of private data]. It appears in [location on the page or post], first seen on [date and time zone]. The disclosure creates [brief factual risk or relevant context].

Please review this under your privacy or harassment policy and remove or redact the exposed information if it violates the applicable rules. Please confirm receipt, provide a case reference and tell me how to follow up. You can reply at [safe email].

If the first request is declined

Read the reason before resubmitting. An appeal should address the missing URL, unclear ownership or other issue identified in the decision. Add new evidence only when it helps explain the risk or shows that a new copy appeared.
